Description

The Sutton Seed Pea Hurst Green Shaft is a variety of pea that produces long, exceedingly sweet pods. For fresh use, freezing, or exhibition, these medium green, pointed pods grow in pairs, each containing 9-11 peas. Suitable for early sowing under cloches, they can be sown in succession from March to June. Allow 60-120cm (2-4') between rows according to the height of the variety. General sowing and cultural instructions are given on all our packets. Most varieties freeze well, but some are especially suitable. This variety matures in 12-14 weeks and can be harvested from June to October.
