Description
The Sutton Seed Calendula Orange King is a giant, perfectly double orange flower, ideal for cut-flowers. The petals are edible and can be used fresh in salads or dried and used to colour cheeses. They are often used as a substitute for saffron for colouring, and are a popular ingredient in traditional German soups and Middle Eastern dishes. This hardy annual strain is grown for its vibrant flowers and can be sown outdoors from March to May for blooms from June to September, or from August to September for flowers from May to July. It has a height of 45cm (18").
